xMax kicks WiMax's ass

Techworld reports a demonstration by xG Technology - a Florida based start up - of wireless broadband technology that is 1000 times more efficient than WiMax. The technology, they claim, could make wireless LANs run for years on watch batteries. The Techworld article can be found here. They also have an investigative report on the validity of the claims.
